An Update for 2019

Happy New Year friends! This month marks a year of blogging here for me. For those of you who have read anything I've posted - thank you! I've enjoyed writing posts about topics that I care about.

If you are subscribed and haven't already mentioned it to me, please comment or shoot me an email. I would love to personally thank you.

At some point, I may look at my subscriber names. But to-date I haven't, so it's always a fun surprise when someone mentions enjoying a post. I'm very grateful for the feedback and input I've received thus far.

Special shout out to my wonderful husband Geoffrey! God has given him the gift of being concise and articulate when he communicates. As such, numerous posts I've written have been refined by his feedback. This blog would not exist without his support and encouragement.

Given this is my blog's anniversary month, I want to give a quick update and share what you can expect this year.

Changes in our Home
For starters, God has graciously blessed us and I am expecting our first son in March. I have one more post I'm prepared to do but beyond that, I will have to see if I can do anything else before the summer.
I'm aiming to finish our homeschool plans for next year before March. I have lots of baby clothes to clean out and freezer meals to prep. Additionally, I want to enjoy my family while I'm not in the up-at-all-hours tiredness fog.

Looking Forward
When it comes to homeschooling, I don't want to teach our kids certain topics just because I'm supposed to. As a result, I've been researching what Scripture says about a variety of school subjects. I am planning on sharing what I've been learning on and off throughout the year.

I also intend to do a couple series on marriage and the ever-changing stages of having kids. I'm excited to share favorite books, quotes, and Scriptures. Knowing God and having a biblical view of self-care are other topics I plan to write about down the road.

But, my family comes first. I'm very aware that I will be extremely tired the first three months postpartum. So this blog will be on the back burner for a while. If any of these topics sound especially appealing to you please let me know to help me narrow down my choices.

Thanks for sticking around and know that your feedback is always welcome!

  1. Congratulations! Your blog posts have been a blessing to me and I am looking forward to your upcoming topics on homeschooling. Also, quite interested in you bringing a biblical perspective to "self-care" or other buzz words that I often hear today. I hear many Christians use words or phrases such as self-love, self-worth, self-care etc. Curious to see how your study in the Bible informs your opinion or view on these types of terms. Anyways, love ya sis!
